Roamback has no account system. Your journal is stored on your iPhone, and we cannot access or delete it remotely. You can delete it directly in the app without sending us a request.

1. Delete your journal

  1. Open Roamback and go to Settings.
  2. Under Your data, open Storage & deletion.
  3. Tap Delete everything, then confirm Delete everything when asked.

This removes recorded and imported journal history from the local database, including location points, places, visits, journeys, trips, and photo links. It also turns off recording and older photo import. Deletion cannot be undone in the app. To remove only one day, choose a date on the same screen and tap Delete this day.

App preferences, such as your display name and settings, remain after deleting journal history. To remove all local app data, use Delete App in iOS Settings under General → iPhone Storage → Roamback. Offload App keeps app data.

2. Remove backups and shared copies

Deleting journal history or the app does not delete independently saved backups. Before removing them, go to Settings → Backup → Stop backing up in Roamback if you have configured a backup folder. This stops future backups; existing files remain.

In the Files app, open the backup folder you chose in iCloud Drive or your storage provider. Delete Roamback Backup.json.gz and Roamback Backup (previous).json.gz, plus any manual exports or other copies you saved. Use your provider’s Recently Deleted or trash controls to remove retained copies. Restoring a saved backup can bring deleted history back.

Roamback’s deletion controls do not delete original photos from your photo library or stories you saved or shared. Remove those separately in Photos or the app or service you shared them to if you also want those copies deleted.

3. Get help or delete emails

For help with these steps, or to request deletion of support correspondence or launch-update emails we hold, email hello@roamback.com with the subject “Roamback data deletion request.” Send the request from the email address you used to contact us and tell us what you would like removed. You do not need to send your journal, location history, or a backup.

Our privacy policy explains how we handle support correspondence, website request information, and any retention required by law.
